Who is it suitable for? This qualification is for people who want to work in administrative support roles in public or private sector organisations, or people who want to improve their administrative and supervisory skills.
What’s involved? This qualification is made up of competence and knowledge units. At Level 3, you can build on your achievements to gain greater technical and managerial skills, as well as supervising others and contributing to the wider strategy of your organisation or department. The units covered in this qualification include communicate in a business environment, principles of business communication and information, principles of administration, principles of business and manage personal and professional development, plus a range of optional units including produce minutes of meetings, administer finance, negotiate in a business environment and encourage innovation.
Where might it lead? A qualification in Business and Administration can help you succeed in a support role in any size or type of organisation. These roles include: Secretary, Receptionist, Administrator, Personal assistant, Office supervisor/team leader. Manager.

Assessment methods: A combination of observations, assessments, professional discussions, written and oral questioning, online and paper-based tests.
Entry requirements: No prior experience is required; however, learners must be working in an administrative role.
