Who is it suitable for? This combined knowledge and competency-based qualification is ideal for new team leaders who want to develop themselves as leaders and managers. It provides learners with the opportunity to learn and implement the core skills needed in today’s dynamic business environment. 

What’s involved? The units in this qualification focus on the essential skills learners need to develop as team leaders. There are five mandatory units, looking at the principles of team leading and management, workplace communication, understanding business and personal development. Plus there is a wide selection of optional units to build management skills in a variety of areas such as customer service, health and safety and performance management.

Where might it lead? A qualification in team leading can help you succeed in a team leader/supervisory role in any size or type of organisation and can lead to further management courses. The benefits of this course include taking control of your personal development, the ability to communicate clearly and confidently, engage and support your team and build positive and productive relationships at work whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

Course Duration: We would estimate the course duration as a minimum of 6 months. The time it takes to complete the qualification will vary per candidate. (Please speak with an advisor for current attendance options).

Delivery method: Regular workplace visits from our assessors. Access to an online portfolio.

Assessment methods: A combination of observations, assessments, professional discussions, written and oral questioning, online and paper-based tests and portfolio evidence gathering.

Entry requirements: No prior experience is required; however, learners must be working in a team leading role.
