Course Details
Who is it suitable for? This qualification is designed to equip candidates with the knowledge and understanding to progress into a job role in the construction industry.
What’s involved? This qualification provides candidates with a range of bricklaying skills and knowledge. Candidates will also develop an understanding of the health and safety requirements for working in the construction industry and the industry itself. The units include construct cavity walls, construct solid walls, construction health and safety, setting out masonry structures, construction principles, constructing tin joint masonry, move, handle and store resources, mixing construction materials and modern technologies in the construction industry.
Where might it lead? On completion of this qualification, the candidate will have obtained the skills, knowledge and understanding to progress on to a higher-level qualification in the same or similar occupational area or progress into employment in their chosen trade.
Course Duration: We would estimate the course duration as a minimum of 6 months. The time it takes to complete the qualification will vary per candidate. (Please speak with an advisor for current attendance options).
Delivery method: The qualification will consist of home study and centre attendance for practical training in the workshop.
Assessment methods: A combination of practical assessments and online multiple-choice tests.
Entry requirements: There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. The qualification can be undertaken without any previous training or qualifications in this subject area.
This qualification has been developed for achievement in a training environment which means you do not need to be employed to take this qualification.
