  • Course Details 

    What is EWPA? EWPA means Experienced Worker Practical Assessment. It offers experienced learners a way of gaining a recognised qualification.

    Who is the course suitable for? This course is suitable for anyone who has over 5 years of experience in the carpentry trade. You will need to have the ability to cope with the demands of a practical assessment, to work safely and sensibly at all times and to discuss your work activities with others. 

    What’s involved in the course? The units include conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace, conforming to productive working practices in the workplace, moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace, as well as optional units including, installing first fixing and second fixing components in the workplace, maintaining non-structural carpentry work in the workplace and setting up and using transportable cutting and shaping machines in the workplace.

    Where might it lead? Once completed, candidates can apply for an Experienced Worker CSCS card. 

     

    Course Duration: 1 – 2 days.

    Assessment method: The course takes place at our assessment centre and is based on practical assessment, witness testimonies and professional discussions.

    Entry requirements: You must hold a current health and safety qualification as well as over 5 years’ experience in the industry.
